1) The ending of Straight Outta Compton was an implicit ending. It ended with Eazy E dying and Dr. Dre leaving his lucrative record company to start his own franchise. This left many questions as to what happened to the rest of the group.
2) I would have had it end with Dr. Dre's new company to show how successful he really became. This would have progressed the characters farther to show them change with their new acquired wealth since most the characters become much more popular than they were when the film ended.
